OMPT Practice

Free OMPT practice test

Every OMPT variant on this site, A through G, has a free scored mini-mock: original questions covering a tenth of the real exam, run at the real exam’s per-question pace. You answer in the same on-screen formats the official test uses, the browser scores you the moment you finish, and every question comes back with a worked solution and the mistake I most often see on it. No account, no card, no email address.

  • Scored instantly in your browser
  • Timed at your variant’s real pace

No account, no timer — just answer it. Every question on the site explains itself like this.

Why start with a free mock

An untimed question tells you whether you know the maths. A timed mock tells you whether you can do it at 2.3 minutes a question, which is what the OMPT actually grades. A tenth of the paper is enough to see both: your score against your programme’s cutoff and which topics leaked the points.

My advice is the same for every variant: sit the free mock before you buy anything, here or anywhere else. If you score comfortably above your cutoff, you may not need paid material at all.

What's free and what isn't

The free mock vs the full exam bundles

I would rather tell you the boundary plainly than let you discover it mid-checkout.

Free, forever

  • One ten-question scored mini-mock per variant, timed at the real pace, with per-topic results.
  • A worked solution and common-mistake note on every question.
  • Free drill questions on every topic page, plus the score estimator and study planner tools.

In the paid bundles

  • Full-length mock exams: the complete question count and clock of your variant, not a tenth of it.
  • Two bundles per variant, each with a pair of full exams from the same half of the difficulty ladder.
  • Complete lessons on every syllabus topic, written to fix the gaps the mock exposes.

The free mock is not a teaser cut to frustrate you into paying. It is a working diagnostic, and it deliberately includes harder items: if those feel manageable, a full mock will hold no surprises.

Questions

Free OMPT practice test FAQ

The ones students ask before starting a free mock. The full list lives on the help page.

Can I try your practice material before paying?

Yes. Every variant has free sample questions in the same on-screen answer format as the paid mocks, with the worked solution shown after you answer, and no account needed. The free set deliberately includes harder items: if those feel manageable, the full mock will hold no surprises; if they do not, start with the topic pages first.

Are your mock tests the real OMPT questions?

No, and be suspicious of anyone claiming otherwise. Every question here is written by me from the published syllabus: the same skills at the same difficulty, in the same formats, but every item is original. The real test randomises values anyway, so memorising specific questions was never a strategy; owning the underlying skill is.

How much does the official OMPT cost?

Most variants cost €240 a sitting at my last check of omptest.org's pricing; the two long-form tests, D and F, cost €270. A retake means paying the full fee again, and the official practice material is priced on top of that. We sell preparation only; the official test itself is always booked through omptest.org.

Which OMPT variant do I actually need?

Your university tells you: it is printed in your conditional offer or on the programme's admission page, and there is no choosing between them. Rough map from what I see: business and economics get OMPT-A (sometimes F), econometrics gets B, psychology and social sciences get E, STEM gets D, and the Finnish science-track institutions use G. When in doubt, email admissions before you buy anything.
