VDU's official table spans 17 bachelor's and 20 master's programmes and uses two variants, A and D, at minimums between 55 and 70%. It applies to applicants from Bangladesh and Pakistan, allows two attempts a year, and sets a hard OMPT deadline of 15 April (bachelor) or 15 March (master's).

Music Production, Performing Arts, Choreomundus and Social Anthropology are exempt.
Two things distinguish VDU from its Lithuanian neighbours. First, the country list is Bangladesh and Pakistan only; Nepalese applicants sit a separate VMU skills test instead and should not book an OMPT. Second, the OMPT deadlines are earlier than the application deadlines and printed per row: 15 April for bachelor's applicants and 15 March for master's in the 2026 cycle.

Which OMPT variant Vytautas Magnus University wants for your programme
The practical trap at VDU is sitting the A when your programme is a D-row. Business Administration, for instance, is an OMPT-D programme here, where at almost every Dutch business school it would be an A. The D's syllabus is more than a third larger than the A's, with geometry and integration the A never touches, and its 21-question, three-hour long-form format is a different discipline: each problem is a small project with no partial credit, so an abandoned one costs nearly five percent of the paper. Fifty-five percent on the D means fully finishing about twelve problems; 65% means fourteen; 70% for Applied Informatics means fifteen.
The A rows are a gentler ask. Fifty-five percent on the A is the Dutch bare pass: 52 questions in two hours, syllabus stopping at differentiation, and most students with school algebra get there in four to six weeks of steady revision. The 65% political studies bar wants the routine algebra chapters near-automatic. Vytautas Magnus University OMPT deadlines and how to submit the result
VDU's PDF is unusually specific. You register at omptest.org, select Vytautas Magnus University and the programme you are applying for, schedule the test at least three days ahead, and receive results within about eight business days. The result then has to be inside your DreamApply application by the application deadline: 1 April for master's applicants and 1 May for bachelor's in 2026. The per-row OMPT deadlines sit two weeks earlier, 15 March and 15 April, and the PDF adds that late or incomplete applications are not processed.
Working backwards with eight business days of grading, a bachelor's applicant should sit by the first days of April and a master's applicant by the first days of March. If you want the second of your two yearly attempts to be usable, move each of those a month earlier. The application fee is €150, non-refundable, covering up to two programme choices. VDU says the 2027-28 intake opens in early November 2026, so expect a new PDF with new dates then and re-check the row for your programme before booking.
What Vytautas Magnus University accepts instead of the OMPT
For Bangladeshi and Pakistani applicants, the country page names only the OMPT; no school grade, IB, A-level or SAT line replaces it. The one route that looks like an alternative is not one: applicants from Nepal and Morocco sit the VMU Skills and Knowledge Test, which is the university's own instrument with its own dates. If you are Nepalese, an OMPT certificate does nothing for you at VDU. Passing the OMPT meets the maths requirement; it does not by itself secure a place.

What to do if you fail the OMPT for Vytautas Magnus University
Two attempts per year, and the deadline is the binding constraint. A first sitting in early March (bachelor's) leaves enough time to read the per-topic breakdown, fix the named chapters and sit again before 15 April; a first sitting in April leaves none.
